Pricing

Archmage is free to use, with limits. Paid plans lift them. Which paid plan you buy depends on one number, not on features.

One number decides your plan

Under 200,000 USD

Revenue or funding in the last 12 months.

Startup, $99 USD

per developer, per year

200,000 USD or more

Revenue or funding in the last 12 months.

Business, $379 USD

per developer, per year

Revenue and funding are your company’s, across everything it does — not one game’s. Funding counts when it is closed and received.

At checkout you confirm one line: “I confirm my company’s revenue or funding in the last 12 months is under 200,000 USD.”

Questions about plans

How do seats work?

One seat is one developer who runs archmage. It has nothing to do with how many machines that developer uses — a seat covers 2 devices.

Designers who only edit config files and never run the command do not need a seat.

I got a new computer, or reinstalled my system. What do I do?

Each seat covers 2 devices, and you manage them yourself. archmage device list shows the devices bound to your license, and archmage device remove <device-id> releases one. You do not need to contact support to move to a new machine.

Does revenue mean the company's total revenue, or the game's?

Your company's total revenue, across everything it does. Not the revenue of a single game.

Does funding mean money committed, or money received?

Money received. Funding counts once it is closed and received; commitments that have not been paid in do not count.

We cross the line mid-term. What happens?

Nothing until your next renewal. There is no mid-term charge and no proration: your current year runs to its end, and the next renewal is billed as Business.
